I've been eating Captain D's fish for over 30 years. The Mount Juliet location is newer than most, clean, and always friendly. The order is always accurate and your pager will go off in the same amount of time it will take you to get your drink, ketchup, and cocktail sauce ready. The location is perfect if you're driving through on I-40. Yes, it's good ol', greasy, fish, fries, and hush puppies, so this is not your dine if you're on a strict diet. They apparently have healthy dishes, but I've never tried them. Oh... the sweet tea is just perfect too! One important note: If you decide to go on Sunday afternoon like friends and me, be sure you schedule your visit around the local Baptist church rush or you'll be stuck in line waiting for your fish and fries.
